Overview

Callisto Racing is an ambitious and innovative racing team competing in the prestigious F1 in Schools competition. Our team of dedicated secondary school students is passionate about engineering, design, and the thrill of motorsport. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of performance and creativity to achieve excellence both on and off the track.

Callisto Racing was chosen as it represents a modern, sci-fi sound that fits an engineering team. It is unique, easy to remember, and important for branding.

Meaning and Story Behind the Name

Callisto, in mythology, was a huntress associated with Artemis, known for agility and sharp instincts, aligning with high-performance engineering.

Automotive & Engineering Connections

With a focus on motorsports and performance engineering, Callisto’s mythological hunting and speed aspects match durability and endurance in our projects.

Communication

Having good communication within a team is a vital part of a competition like this. We prioritised having good communication links with each other as well as our sponsors, allowing us to work through any issue we may face collectively.

Team Page

Team Page: By creating a team page, we are able to share thoughts and ideas, as well as updates on our individual progress with the rest of the team. It also provides a collective space to store important documents for everyone to access.

Meetings

Meetings: Our group meets once a week to discuss our progress and work through any issues that may have arisen during the week. Meeting face-to-face allows better communication, as well as helping others with different aspects of the competition.

Urgent Messages

Urgent Messages: If an urgent message needs to be sent during the week, we may call each other to make decisions or work through a problem.

Sponsorships

By partnering with companies, we can expand our opportunities and accomplish even more as a team. For example, we spend our sponsorship money on uniform clothing for our competitions. This makes us look put together and professional, helping us stand out from other teams. The money also goes toward transport costs, entry fees, material costs, and other vital expenses that enable us to compete at our best. Our relationship with our sponsors is mutually beneficial; in return for sponsoring us, companies receive promotion via our Instagram, as well as their logo on our car and all team clothing. You can find out more about our sponsors below.
